Welcome
to Eagleview at Lake Mayfield
One of Washington's best kept secrets!
Lake
Mayfield, in the foothills of the pristine Cascade Mountains between Mt. Rainier
and Mt. Saint Helens, is one of the best kept secrets in the Northwest. It's
location - about halfway between Seattle, WA and Portland, OR - makes it a perfect
destination for swimming, hiking, golfing, bird watching, recreational boating,
canoeing, kayaking, camping, year round fishing, and simply unwinding from every
day routines - come to Eagleview for a weekend or a week - it is a gift you give
yourself.
Mayfield
Lake is a Washington State reservoir nine miles south of Chehalis.
Easily close enough for day trips to Mt. Rainier, Mt. Saint Helens, the White
Pass ski area, the Lucky Eagle Casino - or a day of shopping at the outlet malls
and antique shops (over 300 of them) in nearby Centrailia.
Or
stay behind at Eagleview while others golf and shop; curl up with a good book
and relax on your private 12' x 50' covered deck overlooking the Lake Mayfield
Resort and Lake Mayfield. Listen to the whisper and groans of massive cedars
swaying in a gentle breeze, watch the evening twilight erase the colors of day,
hear the crackle of orange, blue and white as you gather at the
outdoor campfire pit. Your stay at Eagleview will paint gallery worthy memories.
By
day explore this beautiful lake. Primarily fed by the Cowlitz and Tilton Rivers
and Winston Creek it is home to rainbow, cutthroat, perch, crappie,
bass, brown bullhead, steelhead and tiger muskies. Don't fish? It is a haven
for viewing osprey, eagles and herons - they do fish. Launch your boat and
explore the shoreline - make sure you cruise upriver through the "grotto" of
hanging moss, sheer cliffs, and the gnarled fingers of maple stretching a canopy
overhead.
We
welcome you to our lakeside home. We hope your stay is filled with wonder, peace
and contentment.
Your
hosts,
Bill
and Marleen Peacock
